Known issues: Sometimes the game takes a really long time to load, the level complete screen does not show when you complete the level, and the music stops abruptly.

To play the game, you are a flying pig who is running through different clouds and you are going through this obstacle of trying to shoot or avoid any cloud minions along the way. The way to complete this level is if you reach the rainbow path of safety.

Controls: Left and Right arrows to jump; Left Ctrl to shoot; Space bar to jump/double Jump

Creating the Game

Creating the game was a huge learning process. We were able to create a 2D game with both shmup and platformer mechanics. These mechanics are definitely working in the game currently, but I would love to take it further in other aspects of the game, especially after the feedback we got from the alpha testing. After the alpha testing, we were able to incorporate arrows to give players a better direction of the map, improved some of the art, like the game over screen, and fixed the jumping mechanic a bit better. We also added a sound for when the player shoots. If I continue this game as an artist, I would improve the background of the game and add some more game items or variations in enemies and heroes, which were some of the things that my testers suggested. My partner and I also discussed the possibility of having a boss fight at the end of the game, or add another level if we continue the game. Overall, creating the game was a really exciting journey and I am pretty satisfied with the progress that was made between my partner and I.
