In class, we played two types of Jackbox Games. We played Tee K.O. and Quiplash. These games are really fun and enjoyable to play amongst a group of people. I was not able to be a player in the games, but I was able to participate in the “audience.”

In the Tee K.O., it had drawing mechanics for players to draw and paint their own designs of T-Shirts. There were also mechanics for both players and the audience to type in creative answers and vote on designs. I think having the audience affects the game because the audience can suggest ideas for players to write or draw. These ideas can be considered by players to add into their designs or phrases for the outcome of the game. The audience can also vote for the shirts, which affects who wins the game. Some of the designs that were created in this game were hilarious, like the Elmo fire meme with the “AHHHH” phrase. It was nice to see what people came up with.

Quiplash is similar to Tee K.O., but it does not have a drawing mechanic. The main mechanic is allowing players to type in an answer to the different prompts that are given to each individual player. There are also still voting mechanics for both the players and the audience to participate in. Having an audience also affects who wins the game and they can serve as a tie-breaker between answers. I noticed that in this game, the prompts were appropriately game-related and some of the answers from the players were either too intense, or funny. This game was enjoyable as well and I would play it with friends.
